Hi. I would like to submit my review on the Yamaha Thunderace 1000.
My Father recently purchased the Thunderace as his second motorcycle; he traded in his 600 Bandit for it. Since he bought it he has added a Scorpion race pipe, heated grips, a grab rail and a carbon fibre hugger. All of these modifications have greatly improved the bike.
The motorcycle handles well around corners and has amazing straight-line performance. Acceleration is good in every gear no matter how high or low the revs are, which make it easy to overtake traffic with. Brakes work well and it has a comfortable riding position.
The passenger can sit in comfort at any speed but expect a sore bum after an hour or so. It is a good-looking machine and very underrated. It's as fast as a sports bike with the function of a tourer.
The only thing I find annoying is the vibration of the EXUP valve at low revs.
If you are looking for high speeds and comfort all in one, I would suggest to having a look at a Thunderace.
