UpOnOne.com Staff ReviewTeknic GlovesMar 3, 2003

There are a whole lot of types of gloves out there. You can go flashy, shit, middle of the road, whatever. The problem I got is that these nice ones cost big money, like mortgage type shit. I've seen gloves sell for over $200USD and not last two seasons!! I remember owning a pair of Dainese gloves (175CND mind you) that wore away in a season and a half. That's useless and shit, I never even had an off!! Either way, while looking over at www.newenough.com (quality site, I might add) I found these gloves, the Teknic StreetFighters (right down my ally :) Nice glove, double stitching, double leather in the palm and hard joint protection (that's right, there's no reason in screwing up that L for after the ride ;) To top it off I got these things for 75USD, not bad at all. They don't have that crazy gauntlet shit that goes up to your elbows and makes u look like a foo foo when wearing a tee shirt either. Chrome anything is definitely natch as well. Well the real test came; I went off pretty good, a 90kmph wheelie gone bad. These gloves did their job plus some (I can still use them!!). No holes and the Kevlar stitching held together pretty much everywhere.

These gloves have lasted three seasons and have held up strong. I would suggest Teknic gloves, though I have an issue, the leather, after repeated use (just from riding, I swear!!) has gotten a little brittle from sweat I guess. But no cracks or holes. As you can see, the hard protection is ground down a bit and I was lucky it was there. Hard protection will be something I get in my next pair guaranteed. So, ya, these gloves served their purpose well. But if you're looking for something similar you might want to try the new Icon-Ti ones at http://www.newenough.com

For what its worth.....Peace.....
