A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to go to the StarBoyz StuntFest in Ohio. While there I met Patrick Stephens, who turned out to be one of the best freestyle riders I have ever seen. After witnessing some super smooth circle wheelies, crazy 180 endos and unbelievable TTR tricks, I decided I had to check out his new movie - The Adventures of Uncle Hucklebuck.
This flick is a little different than most of the stunt movies on the market today. Rather than just shoot footage of stunts, Patrick has mixed up some incredibly skilled riding with some wild Jackass/CKY type antics. Amongst the stoppies, wheelies, burnouts and Captain America's the viewer is treated to some off-the-wall roof jumping, golf course riding and "bum humping".
Whether you are in to outrageous pranks or not, I have to hand it to Stephens for producing a stunt film with a twist. Although I can spend hours watching pure stunts, I find many people who don't ride can't. A film like this adds even more entertainment value to the sport and helps grow the market.
All in all this 1hr 15min DVD is definitely worth a watch. It's rated PG-13 and available through www.PatrickStephensFreestyle.com. |
