Rally-Connex - Rides and School
Remember the Kawasaki dual-sport series of the last few years? Well it appears that organizer's, Rally-Connex, have a new series-sponsor for 2004 in the shape of KTM.
The series of dual-sport rides consist of one, two or four day rides, and will take place at various locations across Ontario and Quebec. Each ride is a "non-competitive" GPS-guided tour, using secondary highway, gravel roads and forest trails.
Although the series is open to anyone with a street legal dual-sport bike, the organizers claim that the routes are specifically designed with the KTM 640 and 950 Adventure in mind.
Some basic off-road riding skills are required, but if you're lacking in that department, or just want to know more, why not consider taking advantage of the Rally-Connex Adventure Riding School (nice segue, eh)?
The one-day classes take place in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal during the month of May and include bike set-up, dealing with emergencies, riding gear, GPS usage and riding skills. Cost is $100.00, but they require a minimum of 15 riders in order to run them.
